Automaticthermal protection circuitry is provided and anidling circuit protects against thermalrunaway. A two-speed fan helps ensurereliability, switching to high-speed when theamplifier is under heavy load. A switchable high-pass filter helps provide driver protection fromexcessive low frequencies. Front panel LEDsindicate output levels of -40dB, -10dB andclipping, as well as protection circuit activation.A ground-lift switch is provided to isolate signalground from chassis ground.
The outputs are4, 70V, or 100V (output transformer variesdepending on country). The units can bepowered by 100-120VAC/220-240VAC(depending on country requirements), or24VDC, enabling the unit to be used as part of a portable PA system, or connection to a standby power supply for emergencyoperation.
